If your business is like most, you more than likely use your Business Phone System a lot throughout a normal workday. As with all pieces of technology, daily use has its’ consequences. Eventually your phone will get worn or even damaged. When you reach that point, you may require maintenance or even replacement. Perhaps some days your phone system doesn’t seem to perform as it once did. Sometimes though, it can be difficult to tell that you are soon going to require maintenance. There are, however, warning signs. Here’s when you should consider getting maintenance on your phones:
Drop in Quality
Is your Business Phone System frequently dropping calls? Or is the quality growing poorer with each day? If you have already ruled out your internet or service provider as the culprit, your system itself may require maintenance. At that point you have a decision to make that depends largely on your equipment itself. If it is outdated, it may be time to upgrade rather than spend money on maintenance.
Water Damage
Even if you have advanced equipment, you have to remember that it doesn’t mix well with water. If there is any chance that liquid was spilled or leaked onto your equipment, you should unplug it and let it completely dry out. If your phone is still having problems, you may require maintenance or replacement.
Vanishing Voicemails
Have you gone days without receiving any voicemails? Or has someone sworn that they left you a voicemail, but you never got it? It may be time to check the settings on your system. If you have a VoIP system, it may require an update. However, if those troubleshoots don’t solve the issue, you need to consult a technician for repairs.
